Newport Beach

The day after the wedding we left San Diego and headed up to Newport Beach. Camron's aunt's parents own a beach house right on the beach, literally a 2 second walk to the beach. We stayed there for the afternoon and hung out on the beach. Camron and his dad brought their wetsuits and did a little boogie boarding while Mia played in the sand with her cousin(?) Reagan. She was so happy to be reunited with the sand, she even ate a few hand fulls. I tried to stop her but couldn't. Not sure why she loves it so much! Mia loved the freedom of the beach and was just running around like crazy. I was following her around taking snapshots of her every move. She headed down towards the water but not in the water and I was trying to capture every little reaction of hers. Well, there must have been a big wave because the water came up farther than it had been and knocked her down. I scooped her right up but she was still soaking wet and I got all wet too. Thank goodness she wasn't too shaken up after that because she went right back to playing in the sand just minutes later. Newport Beach was about 10 degrees cooler than San Diego and it was SO foggy and misty from the ocean but absolutely gorgeous.

 It was so misty I could not tell where Cam and Jerry were so I just took photos of random groups of people out in the ocean hoping that I took at least one pic of them. Not even sure if this is them... ha ha

After spending the afternoon at the beach we headed over to our hotel to get ready. Then we headed over to the South Coast Plaza Mall. It is a HUGE mall with every store imaginable. We did a little shopping and then had dinner at the Claim Jumper. It was a FUN day!
